Cheyanne Hudnall Diversity in Technology
Chung-Chin Kao Chung-Chin Kao is a Senior Research Program Manager at Royal Academy of Engineering. Kao has been leading the development of the 'built environment' for the past 10 years. He is also a trustee for the board and committees of the Royal Academy. What inspired Kao was his parents, he stated that they always pushed him to be the best and follow his heart. The underrepresentation in this field for Asian Americans is a little different than any other ethnicity, instead it's a stereotype that Kao had to overcome. Something that can be done to combat racial biases around technology is to have more representation surrounding it, showing that everyone can be smart and introduced to this major would calm down the stereotypes on Asian Americans.
